WHAT’S IN MY HOLIDAY MAKEUP BAG

At this very precise moment in time I’m stood waiting to board Soarin’ in Epcot. After a lap around the world showcase with the sun practically melting me away faster than a Mickey Premium Bar I’m now cooling myself off in the a/c, so whilst I wait and try and pretend the girl behind me isn’t trying to get in my back pocket (I’m telling you I’m attracted to ’em) I’ll begin to share with you ‘What’s in my holiday makeup bag’!

For this trip I decided to bring products with me which were either almost empty or more travel friendly, because who wants to be fighting with a ziplock sandwich bag at the airport security trying to squish in the whole contents of their dressing table? Not me! So rather than bringing a full on Morphe palette I just opted for one of my single mac shadows called Expensive Pink, I bought this shadow on my last visit to Orlando and decided to take it on an adventure back to the States, mainly because it’s the only single eyeshadow I have that’s not in a palette and has a ‘I’m on holiday, it will go with anything kind of vibe to it’! But all I’ve been using these past weeks is my new Mac Paint Pot in Soft Ochre as a base, setting that with Sephora’s Desert Rose eyeshadow, applying my Too Faced blush in my crease and the Mac Expensive Pink on my lid, not forgetting to spray it with my setting spray to achieve a more metallic effect.

Going back to the base, every morning I first wash and moisturised my face using sample sizes of the Dermalogica Foaming Face Wash and Day Time Matte Moisturiser, I have written a post all about these products here if you wish to know more about them.

Dermalogica Clear Start

Just before jetting off to Orlando I ran out of primer but did however have a list as long as my arm of primers I wanted to try out and now also a very good excuse to drop by Sephora. So on my first visit to Sephora I picked up two primers, one being the Milk Blur Stick. Even though I’ve used the blur stick throughout the whole three weeks I’ve been here I’m still not too sure how I feel about this product but I’ll explain more about that in my Sephora haul.

For foundation I brought along my new Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, I think this foundation is perfect for summer as it’s so lightweight and hasn’t seemed to have melted off of my face, however the colour is currently too light for me right now which leads me onto bronzer. As I was well and truly hitting the pan on my Matte Bronzer by Mac I thought I might as well use it up and take it with me. Bad idea. This bronzer literally had me pining at the mirror every morning and seriously regretting not bringing my Hoola bronzer by Benefit.

Whilst in Walmart I picked up my first ever drugstore product, the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind  Concealer, I had heard a lot of good things about the product so I obviously needed to try it out. I picked it up in the Neutraliser shade which seams to be pretty similar to my Nars creamy concealer in ‘Custard’ which I also brought along with me. I was originally looking for a new concealer to try out because no mater how hard I tried to like the Nars concealer it just wasn’t working out for me, however endless hours in theme parks put this product to the test and it held out pretty well, so I’m chuffed to bits with that purchase!

Quickly moving back onto the eyes I of course brought my two favourites with me, the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper and my Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.

And to finish off I have been applying my Too Faced Sweethearts Flush Blush in Sparkling Bellini using my favourite brush also by Too Faced to apply it, highlighting my cheek bones with my old Mineralize Skinfinsh in Soft & Gentle and setting all of that with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.
