I haven’t participated in any monthly favourites posts for quite some time now, usually because when I sit down to write them we’re already 3 weeks into the following month and my favourites don’t get much more exciting than a nut free chocolate biscuit. However this month I’ve tried out quite a few new products and have a good handful of things I feel I need to share. So heres five things I’ve been loving throughout July.
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
Now I’m not usually a doughnut kind of girl, now don’t get me wrong if there was a bag of 5 raspberry jam doughnuts on the kitchen counter I wouldn’t say no, however lately I have found myself hopping in my little mint green bug and driving to the other side of town just to pick up an Original Glazed Doughnut, pretty sad I know, but not as sad as buying a Krispy Kreme tin to bring them home in…
Alex Aiono and William Singe Cover
I’m a huge fan of both Will and Alex as individual artists (look at me talking like I know them) so when I heard that the two had finally uploaded a new cover together I had to check it out! Over the last month they’ve uploaded 4 short covers which I’ve honestly been obsessed with. My two favourites have been this Usher and R. Kelly cover and their most recent upload Redbone by Childish Gambino.
Jeffree Star Velour Lip Scrub
Right tell me, am I the only one who comes out of the gym with lips peeling like a satsuma? Honestly before finding this product, every time I’d leave the gym or come back from a run my lips would just shed like a snake. Grim, I know.
Over the past few months I’ve tried out several lip balms and scrubs none of which have seemed to of solved the problem, however this Jeffree Star Velour Lip Scrub has been a life saver, not only does it sort my (very unattractive) peely lip situation but it also has my liquid lipstick sitting perfectly!
I first caught a glimpse of the product on Laura Lee’s channel and was instantly sold! The Velour Lip Scrubs costs £12 each and are available in three different flavours – Watermelon Gum, Blue Raspberry Sucker and my favourite Orange Soda. Compared to other lip scrubs I’ve owned you do get a fair amount of product in each pot and it also comes in the summer collection chrome packaging which I love.
By the time winter comes round I feel I will need to have this jacket surgically removed from my body, Ive only had it a few weeks and I feel I’ve definitely had my moneys worth!
I had been after a denim jacket for quite a while and I finally found this oversized one in Newlook a few weeks ago, it’s been perfect for throwing on top of any outfit when its a little chilly outside.
Jo Malone London Cologne
Why is it that when your shopping at the airport you suddenly loose all self control and start buying stuff you don’t really need ‘because your on holiday’. This year I ended up with some makeup, £10 worth of Maltesers and a Jo Malone Cologne. I wouldn’t even pay £1.50 for a bag of Maltesers in Sainsbury’s so why did I feel the need to buy £10 worth? Anyway I’ve had my eyes on the Lime Basil & Mandarin Cologne ever since I bought it for my mum last Christmas and as it’s cheaper in the airport I decided to treat myself and buy the 100ml bottle. As I’ve mentioned before I’m a sucker for anything citrusy so this one had my name all over it.
